Eclectic Background
Born in Dublin, Ireland, I worked as an administrator in local government by day and performed in theatre at night. In 1994, I left the Emerald Isle and settled in Chicago, Illinois. There I studied at DePaul University and performed the duties of National Marketing and Communication Director for Jones Lang LaSalle. I also took a new direction in my theatrical endeavors, entering the world of “improv” at The Second City where I graduated from the esteemed Conservatory Program. There, I began to see the correlation between the techniques of improv and the skill-set required to effectively communicate, collaborate and inspire others to action. As a result, I began to integrate improv techniques into my leadership role as I facilitated training programs nationally and coached senior executives for global presentations. With my talent and success in tow, I relocated to Florida. There, I became a certified International Addictions Counselor and Life Coach, participated in Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Training with the Marsha Linehan Behavioral Tech, and became a Certified NLP practitioner. As my passion for empowering individuals grew, I studied Personality Type Assessment and became a certified MBTI practitioner.
Individuals. Teams. Organizations.
From corporate retreats and business communication seminars, to personal development and therapeutic workshops; I focus on people, interactions and relationships. I've been quoted in Oprah's 'O Magazine', presented at Oxford University, and shared the stage with Jack Canfield, Duane Cummings, and Loral Langemeier. On a personal note; my favorite color is purple, I love going to the movies (as long as popcorn and diet coke are part of the experience). Laughter is vital to my existence and I love to have fun daily. What moves my spirit is dancing and singing, especially Latin music...I know, I'm Irish, what can I say. Sunday mornings I lead the Youth Ministry and enjoy the presence of amazing children and teenagers. I am an active advocate for mental health and substance abuse awareness AND, I am passionate about empowering young girls to thrive.
